Semblance Privacy Policy

Semblance helps users create cosmetic before-and-after previews from photos they choose to provide. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Photos and generated previews. We collect photos you choose to upload or take in the app, generated before-and-after previews, and related metadata such as the selected procedure, selected intensity, generation status, and error or recovery information.
• Account and app identifiers. Semblance uses an anonymous Supabase account identifier, an app install/device identifier, authentication tokens, and related security metadata to operate paid access, credits, rate limits, recovery, and account deletion.
• Onboarding and app preferences. We may store your first name, selected gender presentation for the home screen, selected procedure, selected intensity, and similar app settings.
• Purchase and credit information. We receive subscription and credit-pack purchase information from Apple and RevenueCat, including product identifiers, entitlement status, renewal status, and credit grants. We do not receive your full payment card number.
• Usage, analytics, and attribution information. We collect limited app interaction, purchase, restore, install attribution, device, and product interaction data through AppsFlyer and app logs to understand performance, attribution, and reliability.
• Support information. If you contact us, we collect the information you send, such as your email address and message content.

How We Use Information

• To create and display cosmetic preview results.
• To provide paid subscriptions, credit packs, purchase restoration, and credit balances.
• To recover in-progress generations and diagnose failed generations.
• To protect the app from abuse, fraud, rate-limit bypasses, and unauthorized generation spend.
• To provide customer support and process account or photo deletion requests.
• To measure app performance, subscription conversion, advertising attribution, and product reliability.

Face Data, AI Processing, and Retention

Photos you choose to upload or take in Semblance may include your face or body. Semblance uses this face data only to create the cosmetic before-and-after preview you request.

Semblance does not retain face data indefinitely. Uploaded photos and generated preview files stored on Semblance's servers are deleted within 24 hours after processing.

Semblance stores uploaded photos and generated preview files for up to 24 hours so the app can complete generation, deliver the result, recover or troubleshoot failed generations, enforce credits and security controls, and process deletion requests. We use this 24-hour period because generation and result delivery can require short-term recovery if the app closes, network connectivity changes, or a provider response is delayed.

When you request a cosmetic preview, Semblance sends the photo you choose to upload, the selected cosmetic procedure, selected intensity, and related generation instructions to third-party AI image generation providers, including WaveSpeed and KIE.ai, solely to create the before-and-after preview you requested.

Semblance shares face data with WaveSpeed and KIE.ai only so they can process the image generation request and return the generated preview.

WaveSpeed states in its Data Retention Policy: "All user-generated content is automatically deleted after 7 days." WaveSpeed states this retention period is used to protect user privacy, reduce storage costs, and comply with data protection regulations, with limited exceptions for active support tickets, billing disputes, or legal requirements.

KIE.ai states in its Data Retention Policy that generated media files are stored for 14 days and then automatically deleted, and that log records containing text or metadata are stored for 2 months and then automatically deleted. Semblance uses KIE.ai only to process and return the requested generation result.

Semblance requires WaveSpeed and KIE.ai to protect this data using privacy and security protections appropriate to the data they process. Semblance does not authorize these providers to use uploaded photos or face data for their own advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

Generated looks saved in your Library may remain available in the app until you delete them, delete your photos, delete your account, or delete the app. You can delete stored photos and generated results from the app's Settings or You screen.

Semblance may retain limited non-image records, such as purchase, credit, security, and generation status records, as needed for App Store purchase support, credit enforcement, fraud prevention, accounting, legal obligations, and troubleshooting.

If you upload a photo during onboarding but do not complete purchase, Semblance stores that pending photo only temporarily on your device so the onboarding flow can continue. It is cleared when abandoned or replaced.

Sharing With Service Providers

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Semblance. These providers may include Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; RevenueCat and Apple for purchases and subscriptions; AppsFlyer for analytics and attribution; WaveSpeed and KIE.ai for AI image generation; and infrastructure providers that host the app backend.

Advertising and Tracking

Semblance uses AppsFlyer for attribution and purchase analytics. Semblance does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use the IDFA in the current app version. Attribution may use Apple SKAdNetwork and other privacy-preserving or aggregated methods. We do not sell personal information.

Your Choices

• Delete photos. You can delete stored photos and generated results from the app's Settings or You screen.
• Delete account. You can request account deletion from the app. This removes your Semblance account data, saved generation records, and stored generation files, and may forfeit unused credits tied to that account. We may retain minimal purchase, credit ledger, fraud-prevention, and legal records as required to support purchase restoration, prevent duplicate grants, and meet accounting or App Store obligations. Apple manages subscription billing separately, so you must cancel subscriptions through Apple if you do not want future renewals.
• Photo permissions. You can change Camera and Photos permissions in iOS Settings.
• Subscriptions. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account subscription settings.

Children

Semblance is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated backend requests, server-side credit enforcement, limited access tokens for generation files, and deletion controls. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Semblance changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app or through the App Store listing.
